[This montage was used for the cover of Melchior Vischer’s novel Elisabeth geht zum Tonfilm in 1934. The technique of two superimposed negatives being processed at one piece of photographic paper was invented in 1927/28 by Heinz Hajek-Halke and Marta Astflack to be used in advertising photography.]
