    D. Mastroianni~Untitled published by A.Noyer Paris, circa 1910 from billy’z v.t. D. Mastroianni was an Italian artist who produced pictures using a technique he pioneered called sculptochromie. This consisted of sculpting a scene and lighting it entirely for the camera, the sculpture usually being destroyed after its photograph was taken. He produced many hundreds of pictures for postcards using this technique.[info from eBay]
